Scheduling

Shift scheduling includes the following basic stages:

Schedule Planning:
This stage involves creating work schedules that include the shifts to be covered. There are two distinct approaches, depending on your needs:

  • Manual: The schedule is created from scratch, forming shifts one by one with precision. For greater convenience, you can—where possible—copy shifts from previous periods, with the option to keep or not the employees who were assigned at that time.
  • Template-Based: Rotations are used to create the initial schedule.

Staff Assignment:
When it comes to assigning employees to shifts, the system offers two methods:

  • Manual: You choose which employee will cover each shift, with full control over every detail.
  • Automatic: The system uses an artificial intelligence algorithm to suggest assignments, taking into account factors such as availability, employment rules, preferences, and skills. You can always manually modify the suggested assignments if you wish.

Regardless of the method you choose (manual or automatic), the system carefully evaluates each employee assignment, calculates scores for each shift as well as for the overall schedule, and flags any rule violations.
